My book – Toilets of the Wild Frontier

All these years of slumming it around the squalid backwaters of the developing world have finally borne fruit in the form of my first book, Toilets of the Wild Frontier. A celebration of the architectural delights of low budget toilet facilities feared by all decent, self-respecting tourists.

Different cultures all over the globe have evolved a myriad of ways to consecrate the process of going to the toilet into unique structural forms, each born from an intimate relationship between its people, history and environment.

From the freezing mountains of Tajikistan to the steaming jungles of Indonesia, to the bustling cities of China and the tranquil villages of rural Africa, people have invested their hearts and souls into masterpieces of toiletry expression. This long neglected, vibrant art form is finally given the exaltation it deserves in my book. Proudly in the great British tradition of reading on bog, mainly because you’ll be in danger of making a mess in your undergarments laughing.

By all means check out this review in the London Economic for a little more insight.Available from Eleusinian Press

  1. excellent! or should that be ‘excrement!’ will order copies as soon as there is a decent shipping route to Germany that doesn’t hammer us with taxes! Can I ask, did it come out quite easily or has it taken a while?…..

    • Hahaha glad to see you fully entering into the spirit of the book. Sorry for the late reply don’t know what’s happened to my notifications

  2. if it runs to a second edition, can you include some perforated blank pages at the end, just in case there’s no bog roll? Just an idea….

Always happy to hear from you
